FLYTECOMM ANNOUNCES NEW WEB-BASED TRAVELER TRACKER SOLUTION FOR CORPORATE TRAVEL MANAGERS

SAN JOSE, Calif. — March 10, 2003 —FlyteComm, an intelligent travel information and services company, today announced a new web-based travel application, which complements the company’s existing solutions that have served flight-conscious customers for years. Traveler Situation Manager™ (TSM™) is the first next-generation service for travel managers, administrators or agents that tracks corporate travelers, and facilitates corrective action on the travelers’ behalf when needed.

When travelers are in route and something changes in their travel itinerary, TSM sends an e-mail message to the administrator, travel manager or agent—whoever is assigned to service that traveler. The provider then determines what action is needed, such as booking a new connecting flight, re-scheduling ground transportation, or notifying attendees that a meeting has changed.

Because TSM communicates directly to the travel manager/planner, changes can be proactively made without the traveler’s direct involvement — saving the traveler time and making him/her more productive. The traveler is then notified via wireless messaging of the changes that have been made on his/her behalf, many times without the traveler ever realizing there was a problem. In addition, TSM allows providers and administrators to communicate to either a large group of travelers or to a specific individual traveler about specific changes that are made on their behalf.

In today’s travel environment, nothing should be taken for granted; flights are regularly cancelled, diverted or delayed for a multitude of reasons. In addition, corporate travelers are becoming more self-sufficient and booking their own travel, thus saving time and money.

“Being a road warrior myself, I like booking my own travel because it gives me flexibility,” says Maurice Bailey, president and CEO of FlyteComm. “But, when I get into trouble or need someone anticipating my travel requirements, I don’t want to be left out on my own. Utilizing a compilation of multiple data sources, including specific individual reservation information, weather data, real-time airline updates and formulated analytics, TSM can pinpoint a traveler’s flight location and current status. The easy-to-use customizable, web-based interface employs a combination of highly defined graphics, precise data points and predefined traveler preferences giving the travel manager what they need to make proactive service decisions.

TSM constantly monitors all travelers’ trips in the background but only communicates when a pertinent event has occurred and help is required.
